If you were at ADE last year you would have probably had many standout moments but what caught us by surpise last year was the amount of hype that was generated by an anonymous a 50 second preview  as teaser for the track ‘Flute’ which racked up nearly a quarter of a million views on Youtube and hit #1 in the ADE Buzz Chart with most assuming it was a new mammoth collaborative effort from scene giants W&W and Blasterjaxx

A week later and the true identities of the smash were revealed as New World Sound and Thomas Newson, who with that release took the first steps on the path to being names as recognizable as W&W and Blasterjaxx in their own right.

For those unfamiliar with New World Sound they’re the young brothers from Australia’s Gold Coast who have been winning plaudits from some of the scenes biggest names. Their first release ‘Peak’ earned them huge support from artists such as TiestoFerry Corsten and Judge Jules and marked them out as ones to watch for the future.

Now signed to international hit maker Avicii’s LE7ELS imprint the duo further cemented their reputation as an act to keep an eye on when they hooked up with Osen and vocalist Juanita for hit track Colors.

Now the brothers have set their sights on the summer with a extensive set of European tour dates and the  release of ‘The Buzz’, and ‘Flute’ which via 3Beat.

To celebrate the boys touching down in Europe we’ve hooked up with them to exclusively share the first episode of their new video series ‘New World Sound On Tour’ documenting their travels and featuring behind the scene footage of shows, production and some “random cool shit.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
