Exclusive Video Premiere: Phil Weeks – It’s The Inside That Counts

Following up the release of French house don Phil Weeks’ latest dance floor smash ‘It’s The Inside That Counts’, Data Transmission is proud to present the official video!

Released via his own renowned Robsoul Recordings, the track follows up Phil’s recent hit ‘Searching4Love’ feat. Ladybird. ‘It’s The Inside That Counts’ offers “chugga – chugga” bass, that weaves an undeniably killer groove. Sampled from Loleatta Holloway’s classic, ‘Dreaming’, the vocals add an soulful power that drives the track onwards. B-side ‘Another 303 Groove’ sees Phil crack out his “real time live editing” skills, for another energetic slice of house. “These 2 tracks are just so fun to play, I’ve been rocking them so much since I made them. People are going crazy everywhere!” says Phil.

Directed by REda daRE, the video takes us on a psychedelic trip back to gritty urban streets of late 70s/early 80s American TV. When our protagonist dons his special shades, the world around him changes, revealing the freaky identities of those around him.
