Future Classic  latest signing Charles Murdoch, caught the attention of the label through his remix of  Flume’sSleepless’ as part of a Beatport competition. The imprint were so impressed with his effort that they welcomed him into the fold alongside other label signings Flume, Jagwar Ma and Flight Facilities.

Having already seen success in 4-piece Brisbane indie-rock group Mitzi, Charles Murdoch’s solo project expands to an electronic sound and quickly saw him forge a reputation for staging a formidable live show playing at sold-out shows alongside Nicolas Jaar at Sydney Festival Town Hall, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs in Brisbane and Lapalux and Cashmere Cat at the Future Classic x Vivid Festival show at Sydney Opera House.

Now today we get to share Charle’s hotly anticipated debut EP ‘Weathered Straight’ ahead of it’s full release on Future Classic later this month.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
