It’s cold, it’s Monday and we needed something to brighten our day. Step forward house duo Bordertown who have hooked up with Candian twosome EZVL and Freya for new vocal led number guaranteed to light up even the gloomiest of winter dancefloors. We’re not the only ones to have taken a shine to Bordertown with the house loving double act already counting industry heavyweights Tensnake, Loco Dice and Dubfire as fans of their retrofitted cuts and we’re sure their latest release ‘Things Should Go’ will only add further legions to their growing army of fans.

Having released on Toolroom, King Street Sounds and Nurvous it is the latter to which  they return for ‘Things’ should go to collaborate with 100% Silk pair EZLV, complete with remix comes from Stil & Bense which we present to you today.

The title track is served up is a pure vibe track that marries old school, pumping New York house ideals to crisp, clean and bright modern production techniques. A breathy female vocal rolls atop melodic richness, slinky perc and thick stabs. The remix from German We Play producers Stil & Bense is our pick though with its  stripped back reimagining placing a firm emphasis on the baseline and considered use of careful filters  on the vocals particularly impressing. Set to arrive November 25th via NYC based outlet Nurvous you can check out Stil & Bense’s rework in all its glory below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
