Elijah & Skilliam Reveal Fabriclive Details

Hats down and hands up! Butterz now in it’s fourth year has seen label founders Elijah & Skilliam land one of the most coveted gigs in electronic music with the pairing selected to present the 75th edition of Fabric’s esteemed Fabriclive series. The rise of Butterz from one time blog to world recognised record label has seen it establish itself as the one true voice of Grime in the UK and further afield. Having hosted some of the biggest parties London’s seen, with the biggest names, it’s at the centre of everything worth recognition.

Set to arrive May 19th, our excitement at  news the grime duo would be helming the next installment of fabriclive has now been further heightened by details of the release coming to the fore. A 24 track affair, one look at the tracklist suggests that the Butterz boys have gone into recording a  full blooded mix with tracks from the likes of Murlo, Swindle, JME, Kelela, Flava D, Preditah and Four Tet and Terror Danjah’s recent ‘Killer‘ collaboration

Speaking on the new mix, Londoners Elijah & Skilliam said: “The mix doesn’t necessarily represent how we would play in the club, but it does feature many of the people that you would hear and see playing at a Butterz night at Fabric.”

With that unconventional approach to curating the mix undertaken, colour us excited to here the finished article.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
