Dusky lined up for XOYO residency
For the 7th year of XOYO‘s quarterly residency series, which has seen the likes of Calibre, Ben UFO, The Black Madonna and Andy C takeover the iconic booth, the Shoreditch club have announced London’s very own Dusky are going to be at the driving wheel. Entering a new decade for the club, this will be the twenty-fifth residency since its inception in 2014. Dusky will be bringing the heat for 12 weeks from Friday 3rd January until Friday 20th March 2020.
The lineups they will curate will reflect their love for house and techno in all its many forms as they present their biggest ever London project: Rise For Love. Expect some big surprises throughout the residency, as they pull together some of the finest DJs, curators, originators, affiliates, mates and labels from the various worlds that they have found themselves immersed in throughout their hugely impressive career.
“Growing up in London we were very lucky to have access to such an interesting and diverse music scene. The parties we attended all across the city have formed an integral part of our musical identity. We’re excited to have an opportunity to add to this history with friends and artists who we’ve always looked up to and respected, as well as exciting new names that are doing great things.” – Dusky
Off the back of playing a massive sold-out show at the 6,000 capacity Printworks, it’s time for Dusky to strip things back and take it back to an intimate club environment. They’re calling up some heavy hitters from Gerd Janson to Roman Flugel, Special Request to DJ Storm and DJ Tennis to Jossy Mitsu and with special sets including a Fabio & Grooverider ‘Rage’ set chronicling their own formative London residency and an ’86 to ’96 ‘Transmat’ set from techno royalty Derrick May. All this and more!
