Documentary featuring Stormzy and Skepta examines grime’s US impact

Stormzy & Skepta may have shot to the top of the grime game in UK already, but what impact has the genre had on the US.

Teaming up SBTVs SXSW showcase this year, new social platform Crowdmix has put together a short documentary about the grime phenomenon in the US. The platform has enlisted interviews with some big names including Zane Lowe, Lethal Bizzle, Ghetts, Krept & Konan, Jamal Edwards and others.  ‘Taking Grime’ is an on the ground look at grime’s seemingly bubbling popularity in the US to see if it will crossover, and can be viewed in full below.
