Disclosure likened to David Guetta and Avicii?

Just showing once again that the majority of the American media doesn’t know what it is talking about when it comes to EDM, they have been comparing Disclosure to the likes of David Guetta and Avicii?…

The brothers (Guy and Howard Lawrence) believe their music should not be compared with other EDM artists. Guy had this to say: “We’re not part of that scene at all. We like a bit of class in our music. We didn’t want our album to just be an hour of relentless house. The idea was to combine that with club stuff and connect with a wider audience.”

The recent success with their album ‘Settle’ taking the No.1 spot in the UK, seems to have caught the attention of people across the pond. And it seems that the duo will be bringing out a track with American rapper Azealia Banks as she recently confirmed that she had been working with the duo. She tweeted: “Just had an amazing session with @disclosure!!!!”. The duo had this to say about the collaboration “We don’t have a song with her yet. We’ve met her once.” And went on to say “I think she’s kind of taken to Twitter quite heavily with the fact that she’s meeting with us. And people now think that we’ve made the greatest song of all time, and it doesn’t even actually have a chorus yet.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
