Def Mix and SoSure to Release Frankie Knuckles’ ‘Boyz!’

Few names in dance music have garnered such undisputed acclaim as the late, great Frankie Knuckles; which is why we were overjoyed to hear Def Mix and SoSure Music have collaborated to bring Frankie’s final creation ‘Boyz!’ to the world in a whole new package.

The release features a ‘Director’s Cut Master’ from the Chicago legend that includes “an amalgamation of infectious vocal layers” by Jamie Principle. Alongside that, Fire Island duo Farley & Heller offer up a Dub version, and David Morales enters the ‘Red Zone’ once again to provide a “dark and brooding interpretation.”

‘Boyz!’ is set for vinyl release on November 30th via Def Mix Music / SoSure Music, with a digital release to follow in 29th January 2016. A share of the the profits will be split between The Frankie Knuckles Foundation and The Frankie Knuckles Fund (Elton John Aids Foundation).
