Daft Punk Pose For Fashion Shoot

Is there a pie that seminal French robotic duo Daft Punk don’t have a finger in at the moment? From remixes to action figures it appears that the pairing aren’t wasting a second of their comeback as they enjoy a spotlight brighter than ever before. The latest addition to their bulging CV is modeling as the Punks have posed for a new sultry set of photographs with Russian model and Resident Evil actress Milla Jovovich.

It isn’t the first time Daft Punk have found themselves crossing over into the star studded world of fashion with the duo recently making an appearance in last months Vogue. Now they’ve followed up their outing in the iconic fashion magazine with a new shoot for CR Fashion Book for a series of shots which tell a “digital love story” inspired by “impressions of the future, symbolic of Daft Punk’s new approach to music in the digital age.”

Bangalter and Homem-Christo naturally wore their trademark helmets for the shoot whilst along with Jovovich sporting Hedi Slimane (who has been designing all the pairs clothes for the past decade) designs for Saint Laurent to promote their latest album Random Access Memories. Speaking on RAM the duo gave further insight into its creation saying “This album is about technology going toward humanity, in a world where humanity is going towards technology. We tried to capture robotic emotions with music, replacing this time our electronic machines by real human beings.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
