Daft Punk Condoms A Diplo Prank?

The news we brought you yesterday that Durex and Daft Punk had teamed up to bring you ‘Get Lucky’ condoms were apparently not true. Durex had this to say about the allege condoms “The makers of Durex are aware of reports that Durex has launched Daft Punk branded condoms following their hit single ‘Get Lucky’.” And went on to say “There is no Durex promotion or partnership with Daft Punk in the UK or any other markets and Durex are not posting free packs to the world’s top DJs as suggested.”

The rumour flooded the internet yesterday after Diplo uploaded a photo to instagram (CLICK HERE to see the photo and caption). It now looks like the prankster has duped everyone once again, I don’t think that Daft Punk or Durex will complain about the free advertising though.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
