CHANEY returns with ‘What U Need’

CHANEY continues his fine run of form with the brilliantly uplifting nod to old-school rave culture, ‘What U Need’, out on Skint Records on 28 February.

With CHANEY’s previous single ‘Little Bit More’ – backed by an Elliot Adamson remix – receiving widespread acclaim, Swindon’s favourite son takes no prisoners with his follow up release which is a guaranteed floor-filler with ‘banger’ written all over it. Inspired by the vintage feel-good piano house and rave records, ‘What U Need’ proves how joyous music can and should be. 

CHANEY says: “Now and again, it’s important to remember that making music is meant to be fun, over and above everything. Sticking to exactly that, I just had a load of fun with everything I know best about making music. I’ve always loved the simplicity in records like P.P Orange ‘My Feelings’ and Crystal Waters ‘Makin Happy’ – they just make you feel good and instantly connect (something I tried to get across with ‘What U Need’). From 0.00, you get on your feet and don’t think about it too hard – like a lot of these old school house / rave records. ‘What U Need’ is a selfless tune, for the people.”
