Celebrity Net Worth Unveil Richest DJ’s List

Last year financial net worth estimation website Celebritynetworth.com shocked many of us when presenting the world with a list of the ‘The Richest DJs In The World’ that garnered such an interest from the great general public that they had to introduce new servers to cope with the massive increase in traffic to their site.

So why are we just so interested in the wage packets of our favourite stars and how accurate can these lists actually be? Well I guess we’re just nosey but with mega numbers being chucked around it seems hard for us here at DT to take some of the figures being quoted seriously. We agree with Canadian mouse head wearer/ quote machine Deadmau5 when he rubbished the list compiled by the slightly more credible Forbes magazine last year when he said “You’re putting the whole industry on one article written by one dude, who does not have access to any of our accounts.

So rightly or wrongly, who have Celebrity Net Worth placed on the top 50 this time and how much are they purported to have in the old bank account? Well predictably the top names are some of the scenes most respected veterans who have had crossover mainstream success such as Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christ, trance superstar Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold.  However slightly more surprising to us was the inclusion of several DJ’s who will remain nameless but who seem to have firmly fallen down the pecking order in recent times regards to both bookings and releases and DJ Pauly D which we find more saddening than shocking.

Anyway you can check Celebrity Net Worth’s new list for 2013 but don’t forget to take it with a tablespoon of salt…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
