2013 is fast becoming the year of the collaboration. From Nile Rodgers working with seemingly everyone from Daft Punk To Disclosure to techno legends Juan Atkins and Mortiz Von Oswald teaming up as Borderland and Speedy J forming Zeitgeber it appears nobody wants to be in the studio alone anymore.  The latest set of artists to form a collective outfit is Polish Duo Catz ‘N Dogz and Eats Everything as the imaginatively named Catz Eats Dogz. Eats Everything first released on Catz ‘N Dogz Pet Recordings back in 2011 with ‘Entrance Song’ and now returns to the imprint alongside the label’s bosses as a newly founded trio for the groups debut EP.

Curiously entitled the ‘Stinky Lollipop’ EP the release sees three join forces to deliver a trademark several vocal enthused house numbers on ‘Evil Tram’ and ‘Where House’ whilst house and techno producer Rydim is drafted in on remix duty of the opening cut. Set for release on October 14th, the work marks the latest in a series of team ups from Catz ‘N Dogz this year with the pairing previously sharing a collaborative EP with KiNK on Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird imprint last may and the release of their work alongside the sadly departed Martin Dawson as Different Marks.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
