Carl Cox headlines Cave Romane for BSH Events’ summer closer

BSH Events rounds out a stellar Croatian season on 7th August with one of electronic music’s most iconic names. Following the Gates of Agartha collaboration in early June and parties with Amelie Lens and Black Coffee through July, the promoter brings Carl Cox to Cave Romane for a special open-air headline set.

The venue itself is something else. Carved into the Istrian landscape near Vinkuran, Cave Romane is a former Roman quarry that’s been slowly shaped by centuries of excavation. Vast limestone walls rise dramatically on all sides, surrounding the dancefloor with a raw, cinematic scale that no architect could replicate. Think echo, exposed rock and vertical space where a roof should be.

Cox needs little introduction. A defining force in global club culture since the UK rave movement, he’s spent decades threading house, techno and acid through sets that are as technically precise as they are relentless. The man consistently bridges classic selections with contemporary sounds in a way very few can pull off, and his ability to read and drive a crowd remains unmatched.

BSH Events won’t be leaving the quarry’s natural character to speak for itself, though. Working alongside creative production company Highscream, known for high-energy live shows and immersive entertainment, the visual concept has been built in direct dialogue with Cave Romane’s physical environment. Laser mapping, immersive lighting and large-scale visual installations will animate the rock surfaces and open vertical space while keeping the raw identity of the quarry firmly intact.

The August event continues BSH Events’ run of destination electronic music experiences at historic Croatian locations, a programme that has recently included Black Coffee at Pula Arena. The promoter’s approach of pairing world-class artists with culturally significant spaces is carving out a distinct niche in the European circuit.
