Having first discovered Burek via Bulgarian wizard KiNK several years ago whilst scouring Soundcloud for new music and being mightily impressed with both the scope and quality of their output  the label has gone on to forge a fierce reputation for delivering high quality underground music from both the Balkans and beyond in recent years and now they’re launching a sub-label. Set to be known as Barba, the new imprint promises a focus on forward thinking techno and has already secured fresh cuts and remixes from the likes of from DJ Stingray, Heinrich Dressel, JTC, Florian Kupfer, Terrence Dixon, Marco Bernardi and Perseus Traxx.

With such an esteemed roster of artists’ releases already in the pipeline we have high hopes for Barba and are looking forward to the outlets inaugural release from Alex Cortex under his LD Nero moniker when it lands this August.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
