Bugged Out turns 25 at Printworks, London

Bugged Out – one of the UK’s longest-running club nights are celebrating their 25th Birthday, This Saturday 16 November at Printworks.

They celebrate their milestone year with a stellar cast including Green Velvet, 2ManyDJs and Modeselektor offering up their trademark genre-hopping selections.

Green Velvet played his first UK show at Bugged Out in 1996 so it is fitting that he closes the show. Since the mid-90s he has produced charismatic, evergreen club hits like ‘Flash’, ‘La La Land’ and ‘Bigger Than Prince’. Another much loved electronic act that came to prominence in the same mid 90s period as Green Velvet is chief exponents of mutant, absurdist techno Modeselektor. They have filled the Bugged Out stage at Field Day numerous times.

It wouldn’t be a Bugged Out party without the inclusion of Erol Alkan who has played the night nearly 100 times. Erol was snapped up to be Bugged Out’s resident back in 2001 after one incredible set at Fabric. He resided for the club at The End and recorded the 2005 Bugged Out/Bugged In selection compilation – he will play both rooms reflecting both Bugged Out and Bugged In (arrive early for this).

Dusky will deliver a rare ‘Acid House’ set, Jungle drop in with a DJ set. While rising London stars Fall Forward, Jay Carder, Raw Silk and Grainger complete this impressive lineup.

Close friends of Bugged Out Justin Robertson, Mylo and more will be joining for special 25-minute sets.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
