The Bug collaborates with Earth

bugearth.pngThe Bug has announced a new collaborative project with the king of experimental drone metal, Dylan Carlson of Earth.

With both artists being known for pushing the limits of their respective genres through powerful, weighty sonics, expect things to get rather heavy on their upcoming 2-track release. In fact, the duo consider ‘Boa’ (available to stream below) and ‘Cold’ to be potent enough to warrant their own release, having originally planned for the tracks to feature on The Bug’s recent album, Angels & Devils.

The Bug vs Earth EP is out December 1st via seminal London label, Ninja Tune.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
