Berlin techno trio Brandt Brauer Frick’s new album ‘Miami’ once again using instruments most associated with classical music (piano, strings, timpani) to create techno. It also appears the group are moving away from their acoustic techno approach of years gone by. On the first single ‘Plastic Like Your Mother’, BBF collaborate with Om’Mas Keith (founding member of Sa-Ra Creative Partners and co-producer of Grammy winner Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’) for a dark and frenetic track that defies categorisation. Part Kraftwerk, part Techno, crossed with Om’Mas Keith.
All good in our book and clearly BBF agree as they’re taking the talented Keith on their upcoming tour with them. Could a have collaborative album be in the works?
