Brandt Brauer Frick Collaborate With Om’Mas Keith

Share

brandt-1.jpg Berlin techno trio Brandt Brauer Frick’s new album ‘Miami’ once again using instruments most associated with classical music (piano, strings, timpani) to create techno. It also appears the group are  moving away from their acoustic techno approach of years gone by. On the first single ‘Plastic Like Your Mother’, BBF collaborate with Om’Mas Keith (founding member of Sa-Ra Creative Partners and co-producer of  Grammy winner Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’) for a dark and frenetic track that defies categorisation. Part Kraftwerk, part Techno, crossed with Om’Mas Keith.

All good in our book and clearly BBF agree as they’re taking the talented Keith on their upcoming tour with them. Could a have collaborative album be in the works?

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
