Black Girl / White Girl return to EI8HT with their ‘HALLUCIN8’ EP

Share

Black Girl / White Girl have been firing on all cylinders since their last release on EI8HT back in July of last year. They are back on the label with their four-track ‘HALLUCIN8’ EP, due out on 25th July. The uber-talented ladies have been clocking up some seriously infectious releases for Maya Jane Coles’ HE.SHE.THEY label, System Records and AEROBIK, amongst others.

And so, it’s a welcome return to Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, with the bustling ‘HALLUCIN8’ EP yielding four tracks of pumping, techy goodness!

The seriously bouncing beats on ‘Bad Moon Rising’ will be shaking some bones, as the duo keep it lively with fat congas and funky tones, whilst ‘Skin On Skin’ keeps the vibrancy with a jumping jack track of the highest order!

Rubbery synths race around a weighty groove, punctuated by vocal shots and urgent percussion on ‘Microdotz’, whilst EP finale, ‘Range Of Vision’, is a linear and nimble minimal cut that showcases why Black Girl / White Girl are one of the hottest production teams on the block right now.

‘HALLUCIN8’ EP by Black Girl / White Girl is released on EI8HT from 25th June 2021. We premiere ‘Bad Moon Rising’ on NUDE Techno, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.
