More exciting album news as iconic electronic London powerhouse Fabric have revealed that esteemed techno juggernaut Ben Sims is to helm the 73rd edition of the clubs fabled mix compilation series.

Set for release on December 2nd Fabric and Ben have decided to give fans an early Christmas present with the new release featuring over 40 new tracks the techno veteran has been compiling over the course of several distinct segments. The first stage begins with Mr. Sims live mixing tracks in sections over three CDJs before inserting a number of alterations, effects and edits and the completeing the process by pulling everything together in Ableton.

The mix spans the wide electronic landscape of techno with fresh upcoming efforts from the likes of Detroit legend Robert Hood,  classic cuts from revered figures like Kirk Degiorgio, Terrence Dixon and Marcel Dettmann to works from the rising stars of Scottish duo Clouds ,Benjamin Damage and Gingy & Bordello. A much darker take than recent fabric mixes the metallic overtones and sinister motifs conceptualized in this mix perfectly captures the mood many of Ben’s live performances whilst playing in the clubs much vaunted second room.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
