As if news that techno originator and all round electronic pioneer Juan Atkins was to team up with  the extremely talented multi instrumentalist and one half of Basic Channel Mortiz Von Oswald as Borderland wasn’t exciting enough collaborative news regarding the German, Moritz has now revealed plans for another team up.

This time Von Oswald will be joining forces with Norwegian jazz musician Nils Petter Molvaer for a new album to be released on October 4th via Universal  backed jazz imprint EmArcy. Entitled 1/1 the eight track effort the album looks to build on the jazz infused live performances that the pairing have been undertaking in the studio with a two dates locked in for  Mannheim’s Jazz Festival on October 21st, before heading to Hamburg for the city’s  Überjazz Festival on October 25th.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
