Backyard Sessions Malmo announces second edition Dominik Eulberg, Or:la & Oxia
The excellent Backyard Sessions Festival returns for its second year across the 1st and 2nd of September in Malmö.
The two-day gathering takes place on a Saturday and a Sunday in Folkets Park, a park located in the very heart of Malmö. The festival brings people together from all over the world in a celebration of culture with art, great food, electronic music & live bands – which last year included a 50% female talent which was praised by the Swedish government for having a diverse content and booking strategy.
Last year we attended the first version of this lovely boutique festival which is from the UK is only a short, cheap flight and were suitably impressed. This year, they are ramping it up some more and aiming at gathering more than 2000 people from all walks of life to dance to electronic beats together, in the sun.
The first phase of the line-up includes Bebetta, Dominik Eulberg, Flava D, Gidge (live), Helga Keller, Lur (Live), Miss Melera, Or:la, Oxia, Nolah, Patrick Siech b2b Sandra Mosh, Per Hammar, Rey & Kjavik and Tim Andresen (Culture Box boss) – with more to be announced.
“It’s good to see our festival growing for a second year, putting Malmö on the creative map of Europe. For our international visitors we really want to show everything Malmö, Sweden’s 3rd largest city has to offer – the local electronic prodigies, the food, the art and the media conference” – says Alex Esser one of Backyard Sessions co-founders
