Autopsy confirms DJ Rashad died of drug overdose

Autopsy results have confirmed that DJ Rashad, who passed away back in April, did die of a drug overdose as police speculated.

Only 35 at the time, Rashad was found unresponsive in his apartment by a friend in the early hours of April 26th, he was pronounced dead shortly after. Police revealed at the time, they had found narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the apartment.

Rashad’s death has now officially be ruled as an accident after tests found the cause of death to be heroin, cocaine and alprazolam intoxication.We still mourn the loss of DJ Rashad; a pioneer of Chicago footwork, his influence on the scene will be sorely missed.
