It’s one of our worst nightmares. Imagine crash landing during an emergency winter flight into an abandoned Antarctic research facility in the midst of a deadly blizzard. Cut off from civilization and with no hope of rescue, having to explore Sutro Station and scavenge for the means of escape, enduring blinding whiteouts and temperatures 100 degrees below zero doesn’t exactly sound like our idea of fun. Unless it’s a game that is. Then we can totally dig it.
With players never more than a few minutes from freezing to death in the darkness of polar night we’ll be relying Samurai Red Seal favourite ASC’s score (and our finely honed gaming instincts) to keep us warm as we battle to uncover the secrets of this deserted but certainly not empty base.
All talk of the game aside, having closed out last year with the uber impressive ‘Space Echo’ EP, much like Wipeout, which was curated by Sasha we’d probably play our way through just to hear what the ASC had cooked up for the soundtrack. Let’s hope both live up to our expectations.
