Almost 13 years since the release of his last official album ‘Drukqs’, the iconic logo of Aphex Twin has been spotted in both London and New York, teasing at the impending return of one of electronic music’s most innovative artists. As if heralding the start of a new music revolution, the symbol was seen printed with the text “2014” on a neon green blimp floating above the capital this weekend, whilst across the pond it was stencilled on the streets of the Big Apple.Speculation is now rife about the producer’s return as earlier in the month an anonymous post appeared on the 4chan message board claiming that “There will be new Aphex Twin music on Warp Records around September time.” The post goes on to specify that this will actually be two full albums from the artist. Neither Aphex Twin himself and Warp have admitted any involvement with the mysterious campaign, however with the 25th anniversary of Warp imminent we suspect a very special sonic treat is on the way. Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
