Ansome ‘Stowaway’ gets remixed

Perc Trax‘s very own Potter-loving boy wizard Ansome returns with some of the choicest cuts from his debut album ‘Stowaway’ remixed by an array of UK talent including O/V/R, Randomer, Perc and Ossian, Ansome’s partner in South London Analogue Material.

Opening up the EP are James Ruskin and Regis working together as O/V/R. The Blueprint and Downwards bosses show their class with a precisely produced stepper of a remix, built on a wall of sub bass. Next up is Perc, providing the peak time moment of this EP as he fires up the already energetic ‘Bad Blood’ in his own confrontational style.

London’s Randomer makes his debut Perc Trax appearance with a radical take on Ansome’s original mix of ‘Back Alley Sally’ as swarming live percussion and synth stabs lead the charge. Finally, Ossian, Ansome’s partner in their SLAM label, transforms ‘Blackwater’ in a tough-edged mid-set stomper.

Stowaway Remix package is due out on the 19th of August.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
