Amit Announces Debut Release On Tempa

AMIT is something of a veteran in UK electronic music, having been releasing tracks since 2002 via labels such as Commercial Suicide, Metalheadz and dBridge’s Exit Records. He initially became renowned for his stripped back and rolling takes on drum & bass, which melded harsh and aggressive textures with a spacious and very fluid approach to rhythm. He has released two full-length albums through Commercial Suicide, and has also composed soundtracks for film and theatre. These two tracks on his Acid Trip 12″ show off aspects of AMIT’s musical personality that have run throughout his career: by turns ferocious, grounded and holistic.

His latest release and debut on the Tempa imprint sees him turning his hand towards two dark and deadly dubstep tracks. ‘Acid Trip’ has been a regular weapon in Youngsta’s record bag for some time now, and it’s as confounding and intensely psychedelic as its name suggests – driven along by pounding, Middle Eastern-influenced percussion, grinding sub-bass and the intense shrieking of a 303 acid line that will announce his return to fans with a bang.
