Adam Beyer collaborates with Pig&Dan

Share

Adam Beyer‘s first release of 2017, ‘Capsule’ EP is a four track collaboration with Pig&Dan.

The is EP is 12 months in the making and sees the artists dish up a generous four-tracker of club-ready techno coming out on Drumcode on 20th March. A long-time fan of collaborations, the Drumcode chief has been on an inspiring streak of form lately, teaming up with the likes of Mark Reeve, Dense & Pika and now Pig&Dan.

“Dan’s a cool cat. Early in the piece I found out he actually played a role in producing an early Stone Roses album – they’re one of my all-time favourite Brit Pop acts. He also used to be an old drum’n’bass producer for many years in London throughout the ‘90s. If you listen to the track ‘We Are E’, that’s very UK rave inspired. That’s common ground we both have, as I was heavily into D&B and jungle. We spent a lot of time talking about old records and samples. It was fun finding out we share similar interests.” – Adam Beyer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
