Fresh for May, aboywithabag’s ‘Don’t Trip’ gets remixed by Data Transmission Radio resident Kid Caird on House Techno Authority, which we premiere, today.

aboywithabag says the story behind the track: “When I released my track in February of this year, I was tagged in an instagram post a few days later. I checked it out and it was Kid Caird reviewing my track and adding it to his selects playlist. I appreciated this and we connected on social media. Later, I checked out his music on Spotify where I found his tracks and especially vibed with the track Big Beat (Future Freaks Records) & This Beat (Bomb Ass House). I DMed him asking if he would be down to remix my track and he agreed’. 

The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. aboywithabag is one such artist that epitomizes the essence of the modern era. A multi-talented producer born in India and raised in South India and Chicago. aboywithabag is making music that is driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.

Born Sai Aditya, aboywithabag has a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influences and inspiration in his life to Chris Lake, Prok & Fitch and A.R. Rahman. He is also inspired by FISHER, Carl Cox and FINNEAS (Billie EIlish project).

This all culminates in aboywithabag producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy-going and fun music and infused with positive energy to allow for an immersive experience that brings feelings of elation and happiness His overarching ambition is to use his background and experiences to infuse South Asian elements to underground genres like house and techno and to tour the world and make people happy on the dance floor or at home with great music.

Michael Caird aka Kid Caird is a 24 year old house music DJ and producer. He was born in Perth Western Australia and has been a DJ/Producer for a total of 4 years. Michael developed his name “Kid Caird” by always having a positive outlook on life and having fun everywhere he goes just like a kid would. Michael is currently located in the UK. He made this move late October 2020 to purse his passion for music and plans to work more on producing music while in the UK.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
