Pablo Say lands next on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint with his ‘Freak Out’ EP
The Spanish DJ/producer has impressed already with a strong of quality techno flavoured releases for labels such as Codex Recordings, Unrilis and Numen. On the ‘Freak Out’ EP, a trio of tight and utilitarian tracks are served up on EI8HT.
A hustling groove is set on ‘Freak Out’, as a taut bassline and steely hats propels this stabby banger forth, its vocal motif perforating the vigorous arrangement. ‘Light On’ is built upon a similar aesthetic, as surging FX’d synths inject into an industrious vox lead cut. Concluding the release, ‘Ninja’ fires out of the starting blocks in earnest, as a distorted melody line couples up with an unfurling modular riff, anchored by another top-drawer rhythm and arrangement.
