Leon lands on Lapsus Music with ‘Starshots’.

The Italian DJ/Producer has become known throughout his tenure in electronic music for being in control at some of the worlds most renowned clubs including Cocorico in Italy, Pacha & Cielo in New York, Ministry Of Sound in London, Zouk Singapore and Sunwaves in Romania sharing stages with everyone from Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Derrick May, Ellien Allien, Jamie Jones, Jeff Mills, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Luciano, Marco Carola, Ricardo Villalobos, Steve Lawler, The Martinez Brothers.

Leon’s production talents have previously been showcased on labels including Cuttin’ Headz’, Moan, Toolroom, Nothing Else Matters, Hot Creations and the list goes on. So it’s no surprise that regular supporters of the Teramo native’s productions include Steve Lawler, Luciano, Carl Cox, MANDY, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Tiefschwarz, Matthias Tanzmann and this release shows no change in circumstance with Jamie Jones, Mason Maynard, Supernova, Javi Bora, Syreeta, Ammo Avenue and a long list of the worlds finest are already showing their love and support for this release.

Lead track ‘Starshots’ delivers its punches with filthy beats taking us on a journey building towards a breakdown that’s highly & hotly anticipated delivering the perfect culmination confirming this is made for the club and we’re ready for it! ‘Control Your Mind’ opens with breaks & beats continuing the filthy narrative laid out in opener ‘Starshots’. ‘Let the Beat control your mind’ are the instructions given, partnered with retrospectively futuristic sounding synths nodding to the rave sounds of previous parties with vocal hits that perfectly compliment the direction of the track.

Minimal beats with high energy feelings make this a release that stands up and commands attention from Leon.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
