Nico Perez is a co-founder of Mixcloud.com. He graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters in Engineering and has worked for multinational companies in both the green tech and travel sectors before setting up Mixcloud in the summer of 2008.

Built by music lovers, Mixcloud set out to create the tools DJs, radio shows, festivals and labels need to connect with their audiences. A decade on, their community has evolved into so much more. Together, we’ve built a rich and vast catalogue of millions of shows handcrafted by all kinds of creators, echoing from every corner of the globe. From dance floors to record shops to online radio, our community keeps the spirit of culture’s most precious artefacts alive.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
