Spotlight Mix: Man With No Shadow

Man With No Shadow – shady name for a respectable artist.

Throwing legendary raves and rocking dance floors around the globe for the past decade, Ruben de Groot has earned his stripes as an icon of Dutch club culture. Representing the underground with a stern smile towards the mainstream, he remains one of the country’s most wanted jocks.

As co-founder and resident DJ of the infamous GZG parties, Man With No Shadow has made an impact on the Dutch scene. An entire generation of underground clubbers has been inspired by these raves in old warehouses, on boats and in deserted factories. His persuasiveness behind the decks has made him a favorite with the Dutch crowds. Over the years, he has nourished an extraordinary blend of silk-mixed house and techno which has led to headlining performances at every relevant club and festival in The Netherlands as well as touring around the world as a resident for Sensation, the arena-sized festival phenomenon.

His latest release ‘Apatik’ comes on Friday 24 November on Berlin/Barcelona based OFF Recordings ran by Andre Crom and includes a remix from Drumcomplex

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
