Field Maneuvers is a three-day hedonistic haven revered for its high-calibre bookings, family vibe and strong set of residents. Held in September in a secret location an hour from London, Field Maneuvers is a hidden gem for real music heads. With summer coming up fast, the Field Maneuvers family can announce a tonne of talent for this year with The Black Madonna, Axel Boman, Randomer, Hannah Holland, Dan Beaumont, Jerome Hill, Bake, Violet, Golesworthy and many more joining forces with the much-loved FM residents.

Keeping it small-yet-perfectly-formed is what makes Field Maneuvers so magical; nurturing a tight-knit feel with a residents roster envied by any club; with Ryan Elliot, Ben Sims, Mark Archer, Jane Fitz and her Night Moves co-founder Jade Seatle, plus more legends from the electronic world. Joining the veterans this year are South London 22a affiliate Al Dobson Jr, plus brand-new Ninja Tune recruit and NTS regular Throwing Shade, the lady responsible for one of the most memorable Sunday sets last year. Axel Boman, Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordkvist will set energy levels high across the weekender with heartwarming, genre-spanning set when they play together as their label moniker, Studio Barnhus. Hailing from Glasgow, heads favourite Bake brings expert selections with an All Caps flavour, whilst the almighty reigning Queen of the dancefloor The Black Madonna returns for year two for a fist-pumping, soul-searching session with disco, house, acid and more all in the bag.

King of the remix Greg Wilson is certain to light up the custom Funktion-One rigs, and from across the pond, NYC’s The Bunker resident Mike Servito joins alongside Chapter 10 gay disco king Dan Beaumont and Dalston’s acclaimed Dance Tunnel Soundsystem. Ex-Chicago Smart Bar residents, the mighty Honey Soundsystem will also be flying the direct from San Fran to give us a flavour of their raw, dubbed-up disco.

Representing the darker side of the spectrum is Pariah, renowned for his searing techno productions and output as part of Karenn, and Randomer, the diverse producer who has released on Hessle Audio, Soul Jazz and Numbers; both will be joining long-standing Field Maneuvers chief Ben Sims for his takeover in FM’s Sputnik Dome to celebrate his club night, Machine’s 5th Birthday!! Something which Ben promises to be a highlight for 2016; “We’re very excited to be returning to the excellent FM Festival this year and to be taking over The Sputnik Dome for a night with a sweet Machine line-up. And we’ve just heard they’re bringing in the Funktion-one guys to fuel the madness too! Fuck yeah!”

Between soundsystems and selectors, anyone who wants to lose it on the dancefloor is spoilt for choice, from the fresh-faced to the legendary. Chicago icon Gene Hunt and Batty Bass lady and London regular Hannah Holland will be doing their thing. Acid house pioneer and veteran Jerome Hill joins, alongside Lisbon’s Violet and Photonz. And in honour of the original UK free party scene which inspired FM, they welcome Woosh of Digs & Woosh aka founders of The DiY Soundsystem, one of the UK’s first house soundsystems. DiY were once hailed by the Daily Mail as “The most dangerous people in the UK” due to their infamous parties and their key role in the notorious Castlemorton rave.  Jane Fitz & Jade Seatle return to program the Field Moves tent with expert selectors such as, Carl H, Dan Harrington, Aidy West, Matt Pond and Miro SundayMusiq. Beyond that, Field Maneuvers residents, friends and favourite DJ crews will be taking their turns over the weekend.

With a super limited capacity, (only 650 punters are lucky enough to attend the sell out event each year) tickets for the annual pilgrimage do not stick around for very long. Only an hour from London, the site is easily accessible via train or car, tickets are currently priced on their third tier at £89 – with camping space included.
