The mighty Dour Festival returns for its 29th edition from 12th till 16th July.

Established in 1989 by Carlo Di Antonio, the Dour Festival is the biggest music and touristic event in the French-speaking part of Belgium. For the last 29 years, the festival found the perfect formula to become one of the most important events in Europe: a unique, and eclectic line up, filled with impressive headliners and – more importantly – a lot of exciting discoveries, a terrain in the heart of the Borinage Terrils and an unsurpassed organisation; all of this for almost 200 000 young music lovers.

This year they have compiled a broad and divers line up, combining tremendous headliners, discoveries, traditions and a huge diversity. Dour Festival opts for an open, daring and alternative programmation, a line up you’ll only see once a year, in one spot. During 5 days, it becomes a melting pot of artists, a place where rockers meet drum’n’bass loves, where reggae-adepts meet hiphoppers.

Who’s on the line-up from an electronic point of view?  Well we have Phoenix, Metronomy, JusticeNina Kraviz, Carl Craig presents Versus Synthesizer Ensemble, Pusha T, Solomun, Jon  Hopkins dj set, Charlotte De Witte, Adam Beyer, The Black Madonna, Tale Of Us, Todd Terje, blazing sounds by Vitalic and a heavy last drum’n’bass announcement with Chase & Status, Shy Fx, Noisia, Camo & Krooked, DC Breaks x Loadstar x Mind Vortex [feat. Daxta MC] and Teddy Killerz.

The complete line up per day/stage are available on their website, as well as tickets and accommodation packages head to  www.dourfestival.eu

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
