AVA (Audio Visual Arts) Belfast, is a one day-&-night grass roots festival and conference taking place on Saturday 30th May. 

Celebrating the strong current of electronic music and digital visual arts that has emerged from Northern Ireland. The goal is to provide an opportunity for emerging and established artists, labels, designers, promoters and some very special guestsincluding Matthew McBriar and Andy Ferguson (BICEP), Timmy Stewart (Extended Play), Oisin O’Brien (Guerilla Shout), Generator NI, to share their knowledge through a free daytime conference (11.00-16.00)

The AVA evening showcase (16.00-Late), with headliners Bicep, Ejeca, Optimo, SDC and Phil Kieran paying homage to Northern Ireland’s unique energy and character.

Top partners such as Ableton, shall present their ‘Ableton Push Playground’, showcasing their new hardware and software with a specialised trainer, along with a number of other workshops and talks. AVA will also host a food market and record fair… with more to be announced.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
