5 Exciting Artists to Catch at Lovebox Festival
Taking over Gunnersbury Park for another year, Lovebox Festival has made a mighty return with a whole plethora of awesome artists to watch. Over Friday and Saturday, Patrick Topping will be taking over his own stage, as will Annie Mac Presents and Unleash will have Friday’s ravers going till the early hours, with plenty of new artists and fresh talent to explore. To help you navigate through it all, we’ve rounded up our top five to keep your eye out for.
Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist Jayda G has risen steadily and with phenomenal stealth through the industry. This year, she’s been pretty unstoppable, performing all over the world before touching down in London to bring forward her unique style of cutting-edge disco and proto house.
Charlotte de Witte
She’s relatively new on the scene, which makes her even more exciting to watch. Catch Charlotte de Witte as she proves her worth behind the decks, the NovaMute and Mary Go Wild fave will be teaming captivating techno with uncompromising production techniques resulting in something truly spectacular.
Ross From Friends
The Brainfeeder DJ will be back on home turf armed with a number of 12” from Breaker Breaker, Distant Hawaii and beyond. Expect a transcendent lo-fi journey incorporating live instrumentation and exemplary versatility that’s hard to find elsewhere. We can’t wait to see what he’s got in store this time.
Backed by the likes of Pete Tong, Skream and Patrick Topping, Mason Maynard has an impressive background considering he’s still so new to the industry. With shows at Warehouse Project and Hideout alongside collabs with Defected and Relief Records all under his belt, he’s sure to keep gaining momentum.
Expect nothing but pumping 80’s, 90’s acid, hip-hop and house tracks reminiscent of Chicago days gone by as Sally C takes to the stage. The genre-blending artist has planted her roots firmly in Scotland’s scene as well as working the rounds in some of Berlin’s finest, now she’s in London to show off all she’s learned.
