Forensic Records’ Fordal shares a selection of his favourite club heaters

Share

After one of Forensic Records’ biggest tracks of the summer, label boss Fordal is back with another sublime vocal heater with his latest release, ‘The Calling’, along with a stunning remix from Austrian talent The Wash. You can grab your copy from Beatport HERE.

Fordal (Les Dales) is a music producer who has been passionate about music since childhood, thanks to his saxophonist father, who played at Jazz clubs with legends like Jimmy Hendrix. He was born in the North East, an area with a rich history in dance music. His love for counterculture music began when he watched Andrew Weatherall play techno at the legendary London club Turnmills.

In 1998, Fordal opened the famous Binary Records shop, a paradise for music collectors. However, it closed down in 2001 due to the digital piracy era. Nevertheless, this experience allowed Fordal to gain exposure and play at some of the most prestigious venues worldwide, such as The Arena, Purple Onion, The Cornerhouse, and the globally-renowned institution of London’s Ministry of Sound.

Since 2022, Fordal has doubled down on his passion for electronic music, releasing a spate of increasingly impressive productions on Forensic Records, which he co-owns with renowned Progressive House stalwart Lexicon Avenue.

To celebrate the release of his latest EP, Fordal serves up an inspired selection of some of his favourite cuts:

Fabreeka – Drifter (Rik Niels Remix)

On the superb Mango Alley! Rik Niels’ remix offers such a wicked grove, ace percussion and a catchy baseline – all together, it provides a fantastic deep-building prog track. Love it. Subtle but banging!

Fordal – The Calling

I had to include my latest release! Still getting great feedback and finding its way into many sets and shows – my own included – that vocal !!

Reflections – Selador Decade EP III

Like us at Forensic Records, Selador is also celebrating an anniversary – ten years! This track is on the 3rd-anniversary ep release. Lovely old school Dave Seaman sound, brought bang up to date by three fantastic artists. Ace!

Gabriel, Rawbach – Lost Sense / Holy Land

Really into what this crew put out. I like the driving tech vibe in this, with the contrasting softer synth bringing the melody. Top stuff.

Fur Coat & Fonal Request – Alter Ego

Peak time banger here from a top artist in Fur Coat, and Final Request out on a top imprint I’ve followed for years.

Emi Galvan – Around the World

Brand new on Replug, love the simplicity of this catchy, uplifting progger.

JA:CK – Solaris

Love this; been around a while but still rips up any set. Fantastic melodic techno!

Sean Harvey – The Bullet (Lexicon Avenue Remix)

What can I say – superb remix from my label partner Lexicon Ave; still huge out there. Top stuff from a prog legend.

Steve McCreery – Interference (Eze Ramirez Remix)

Trademark Sudbeat with a harder prog edge and a fab simple drop. Top dark driver.

Fordal – The Calling (incl. The Wash Remix) is now available to buy/stream via Forensic Records.
