Once again Birmingham’s The Rainbow Venues is leading from the front. Like it has done for the past decade, the fantastic, ever evolving and always pioneering venue has come up with another magical concept that separates it for the rest in fine style: under the title of The Rainbow Venues Imaginarium, the team have carefully programmed 15 weeks of events and cultural showcases starting on September 12th and running until New Years Day.

Imaginarium is a pioneering, 360 degree cultural experience and is the latest and greatest concept from The Rainbow Venues that serves as the umbrella brand for the Autumn season. Not only a series of club nights, this new programme will reflect an exciting cultural and creative movement that is going on in Birmingham’s Digbeth area and encapsulates The Rainbow Venue’s passion for great music, delicious street food, exciting art and original design. It is no stretch to say that this project, and the many other things The Rainbow is involved with, has fully invigorated the whole Digbeth area.

This year the schedule will once again welcome a fine selection of the world’s leading dance music brands and artists over 15 weeks. Alongside all the great parties and events, there will also be some tasty gastro’ eats and beats from Digbeth Dining Club, a two-time award winning street food crew that offer up retro gaming, live graffiti battles and pop-up stores that excite and enthral all who visit.

It all kicks off with a huge weekend of events on September 12th featuring local hero Hannah Wants and Tom Shortez as well as Shiba San and Zombie Disco Squad. The following night, another local lad turned global dance hero, Adam Shelton, One Records boss and Below founder, lines up with Desolat boss man and Ibiza icon Loco Dice as well as talented deep house producer and 2020 Vision associate, Frenchman Djebali, all playing up on the brand new roof terrace that offers al fresco vibes and great views.

Over the last five months, The Rainbow Venues has also undergone a huge rebuild that has seen it improve upon and expand its already peerless offerings. There is now a brand new room The Blackbox, which boasts low ceilings and strip lighting that creates an immersive dance floor experience. This great new addition is sure to become a much loved hub and will be open every Saturday night. Serving up underground house and techno, The Blackbox is a square, dark room with Martin Audio stacks in each corner. In addition to this, and the likes of the Cellar, Garden, Courtyard, Arena and many other varied and boutique spaces, the newly built Rooftop Terrace now provides a much needed, Ibiza styled resting place where ravers can take a break and chill as they look out over the beautiful city skyline.

As such, the announcement of this new series is a mouth watering proposition for clubbers searching for more than just a party, and is sure to set a new benchmark in Birmingham and beyond.

Full lineups revealed at the start of September.
