The iconic Lab 11 venue in Birmingham is celebrating 3 years with the refurbished space including a brand new terrace set right in the heart of the city.
The first May bank holiday weekend, Friday May 1st – Sunday 3rd, sees one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues – Lab 11 – celebrating 3 years and sees the launch of the brand new Archway Terrace. Set in the bustling heart of the renascent city, the newly invigorated space will host a series of in-house and externally promoted club nights, the brand new casual dining experience Street Banquet, and specially curated events for the thriving arts and cultural scene. Promoters will include Output, Backspace, Bauhaus, EBL, Afta Dark, Itchy Feet, TRMNL, One Dub, Peaches & Cream and new Concept Sunday Roast – an occasional al fresco party if the weather is right! Lab 11 draws inspiration from Trouw, the backstreets of Berlin and the terraces of Barcelona into a stunning new environment.
Three of the city’s most iconic nights – Magic Door, Glas and TRMNL – all feature across the opening May Bank Holiday weekend with acts such aswith The Martinez Brothers, Amine Edge & Dance, Samu.l, Darius Syrossian, Santé, Sidney Charles, Lauren Lo Sung at Magic Door, firmly setting the agenda for Lab 11’s new direction.
Will Power from Lab 11 says: “After 3 years of utilising the terrace shed, some great memories have been created with the likes of Hot Since 82, Claptone and not forgetting Richy Ahmed’s impromptu appearance turning into a crazy never ending after party. But it’s now time to give the terrace a new identity for the summer and beyond. We look forward to seeing you and unveiling a new series of events that have been months in the making.”
