AVA Festival announces Belfast conference Speakers


AVA Festival, Belfast’s massive dance festival taking place 31 May -1 June, have just announced the first names confirmed for its free conference programme.

Founded 5 years ago in Belfast, AVA aims to celebrate, amplify and develop the strength of electronic music and digital visual arts through music events and conferences.

This year, AVA invites keynotes The Black Madonna, Horse Meat DiscoResident AdvisorRed Bull Music, Help Musicians NIPRS for Music.

Some of the keynote speakers include:
– The Black Madonna who will discuss gender equality in music line ups and her time as a touring DJ

– Horse Meat Disco who will be talking about the LGBTQ+ nightlife shift in London since The Eagle

– Help Musicians Northern Ireland who will host a panel on musicians welfare, funding and health

– PRS for Music who will be advising on licensing

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
