Whychek returns to Rebel Music with ‘Codes’ EP

Whychek returns to Rebel Music for his second four-track outing which comes in the shape of his ‘Codes’ EP.

Since 2017, Whychek has been releasing music on labels including The Dreamers Recordings, Peer Pressure Records and most recently Rebel Music where he marked his first release on the imprint with his beautifully crafted ‘Blade’ EP. Consisting of four stunning tracks of deep drum n bass which cover the various shades of the London-based producers sound. We premiered ‘Hippo’ which you can check out here.

From the opening notes, this release oozes emotion. Title track ‘Codes’ takes us on a deep journey into the London producers sound palette and is beautifully coupled with vocals from Becca Jo Roberts.

‘Eternity’ is a smooth, liquid roller, with its crisp beats and textured pads washing across the sonic soundscape, glued together with a warm sub and harmonic bass chops.

Full of melancholy, ‘Chapters’ sees a collaboration with vocalist Johnny Boyage for this deep, moody number. Clean breaks and percussion give this track the perfect energy for the dancefloor.

Rounding off the release is ‘Scapes’, music to relax to. A real journey piece, with stunning strings and delicately placed piano to finish off the EP.

Today we premiere ‘Scapes’ which you can check out below. Whychek drops his ‘Codes’ EP on Rebel Music on Tuesday 2nd November, make sure you grab a copy from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
