Altius Sounds celebrates its first birthday with a special remix release, ‘Mixtura – Part One’. It’s a fresh spin on some of the label’s standout tracks from the past year. This anniversary project brings together a mix of returning favourites and exciting new faces, each adding their own flavour to the originals.
After dropping their debut EP ‘Final Destination’ in November 2024, it made perfect sense to bring back STLLRD & Honest for this milestone release. The pair step up with a hard-hitting remix of Dunk’s deep and minimal roller ‘Mafia’, flipping it into a dancefloor weapon packed with weighty low-end, crisp percussion and even a surprise 4×4 section that hits just right.
As their biggest project so far, ‘Mixtura – Part One’ pulls together a selection of tracks from the label’s catalogue and hands them over to some of the best rising producers in the underground right now. New names to the roster like Acris, Rue and Aksel all deliver strong remixes. Core Altius artists, including Bleach, STLLRD, Honest, Chazwav, Apollo Navigation and Melodrama also return to put their spin on things.
With this release, Altius Sounds not only reflects on a solid year of music but also looks ahead to what’s coming next. The team behind the label has made it clear they are here to push forward-thinking sounds and give a platform to both emerging and established underground artists.
