Stand Together drop charity LP to combat racism
Stand Together is a one of a kind collective; a united front of Drum & Bass labels seeking to highlight issues of race, inequality and tolerance in the scene. They have today released an album that couldn’t be a more fitting reflection of what it’s all about. You’ll be guided on a collaborative journey covering all of the sonic landscapes in Drum & Bass, with gnarly and techy steppers, heavy atmospheric jungle or calming soulful rollers. All proceeds will go to Stand Together‘s specially selected charities (The Black Curriculum, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, XLP and GOSH).
Formed of a worldwide, never-before-seen coalition of Drum & Bass labels taking a stand against racism, Stand Together are very proud to present the inaugural ‘Stand Together’ LP. The LP is a joyous explosion of sound; a multi-faceted melding of soundscapes from a diverse and grassroots selection of artists from around the globe. Bringing together artists from the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, the USA, China, Australia, Korea and so much more it exemplifies what the project is all about; breaking boundaries, building bridges and showcasing excellent music from marginalised communities.
There’s something for everyone and every palate too. Whether you like it dark and techy, light and liquid or fathoms deep, you’re catered for here. A thing of beauty, hope and positivity, the ‘Stand Together’ LP is much more than the sum of its parts.
Today we premiere the contribution from Beats In Mind which comes from Theatrix and Pyxis. ‘Lotus’ is an amazing piece of masterfully created Drum & Bass music. Have a listen below. The ‘Stand Together’ LP is out today so make sure you grab it using the purchase button beneath the track.
