Smote set to drop ‘Believe It / Beautiful Dreams’ on Lunar Records

Lunar Records are set to drop a new 2 track single from Smote. The release entitled ‘Believe It / Beautiful Dreams’ is 2 wicked cuts of glorious Jungle/Drum & Bass. Lunar Records is an independent, family-run record label based in the UK. Founded by Drum & Bass DJ/Producer Phil Tangent, the aim is to release quality music from across the Drum & Bass spectrum from established artists and up-and-coming producers alike.

Thomas Banary aka Smote is a Slovakian Drum & Bass producer who was born in 1977.  Influenced by his father’s musical knowledge, he learned to play the piano as a child. He went on to play guitar in a punk band by the name of ‘Los Ratones Paranoicos’ and eventually discovered electronic music. 

In 1999 he started to produce electronic music, mostly Trip-Hop and upon listening to Drum & Bass he decided on this was the way towards his musical future. 

In the summer of 2003 Smote established his own agency, Reverse to promote Drum & Bass music and to support young musical talent in Slovakia.

Over the course of his career he has seen his music released on some top labels such as Good Lookin Records, Celsius Recordings, Soul Deep, Fokuz Recordings, Liquicity Records, Innerground Records, Peer Pressure Records and a stack more! Now, Lunar Records welcome him to their ranks for his latest offering.
