Sedo and Kumarachi come together with ‘Tearing’
Sedo and Kumarachi come together with ‘Tearing’ on Modular Carnage.
Raised in a residential recording studio in the depths of Wales, Sedo has been surrounded by music since a very young age. Coming from such an inspiring musical upbringing, it was inevitable that he would eventually be driven to do something musical himself. This something came in the form DJ’ing at parties whilst at Uni in Manchester. Soon after he began producing D&B.
After a couple of jump up releases a long time ago, he went off the radar for some years. He returned to production with a vengeance around three years ago, eager to perfect his sound and engineering abilities. Within 18 months of attacking the production, he had a release on Symmetry Recordings and another on Tesseract Recordings.
Now he makes his debut on Modular Carnage with his 4-track ‘Turmoil’ EP.
Not unfamiliar with working together Sedo joins forces with the mighty jungle stalwart Kumarachi. They previously collaborated on Kumarachi’s ‘Namkrow’ EP.
The new-school sound of Kumarachi is one that fans of that old-school jungle vibe have been digging on for a while. With heavyweight releases on imprints like DJ Hybrid’s Audio Addict and Deep in the Jungle, the surfacing of the underground sound of Kumarachi on none other than Kasra’s forward-thinking Critical imprint at the end of 2017, which was a welcome surprise.
Today we premiere ‘Tearing’. With it’s roaring bass and rolling drums this track is destined to cause damage on the dance floor.
Sedo’s ‘Turmoil’ EP is available on 28 June out on Modular Carnage Recordings. Check out ‘Tearing’ ft Kumarachi below and grab a copy of the EP here
