Q&A:

Reflektor artwork

Sum up this mix in 10 words…

Lush, soulful, and melodic, a departure from Reflektor’s usual heat.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

Biased, but our favourite track in the mix is our recently finished track, ‘Chugga’, which drops on Grand Theft Audio in December.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

Energy! Pushing over 60 tracks in just over an hour, this one is a smooth roller coaster of vibes.

Tell us about your next EP?

We have a two track collaboration with a good friend, Twofour. They’re hard hitting, technical, and energetic. We’ll be releasing them within the next few months on Canadian based, ‘Westcove Recordings’, in support of our two friends who recently launched the label. 2024 we have multiple UK releases slated so keep your ears peeled 😉

What have you got coming up?

We’re currently in the studio working with a new vocalist on a liquid track we’re quite excited about and are continuing to push our diversity in our productions. For the remainder of the year we’ll be making multiple club appearances across Canada and beginning to plan our summer for 2024.

When was the last time you actually raved?

We’re fortunate to have the top two North American festivals planted in Western Canada with both Shambhala (BC) and Bass Coast (BC) via DJ Mag. The festival scene here is strong and drum & bass is finally starting to grab more attention and have some serious presence. So we’ve been raving all summer!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

Thanks for the support! If you like the sound give us a follow and stay up to date with our music and new mixes.
