Hailing from Southend-On-Sea, UK, Dancehall, Reggae and Soca enthusiast Gully B has been alighting dance floors around the UK and Europe with a quick-paced mix of Carnival energy.
With over 15 years experience as a multi-genre turntablist and club DJ, and over half a decade of working behind the scenes in the music industry for major and independent record labels, Gully B has become one of the UK’s most exciting DJs.
Armed with an arsenal of custom dubplates, Gully B mixes up timeless anthems, with the freshest mix of new Afro-Caribbean music, to create a unique signature DJing style.
Gully B now leads one of the UK’s most popular Afro-Caribbean radio shows on Reprezent Radio, hosting the premiere Friday 5pm drive-time slot. As a radio presenter, Gully B has already interviewed the likes of; Shaggy, Konshens, Shenseea, Skip Marley, Mr. Vegas, I-Octane, Agent Sasco, Stylo G, Spragga Benz, Kevin Lyttle, Kes, Vershon and countless more.
In the UK club scene, Gully B is a resident DJ for the Get Busy, Dancehall and Afrobeats events, and has performed at some of the biggest shows such as; Notting Hill Carnival, FabricLive, Andy C XOYO and Seani B’s Brukout parties.
After hitting 3 Million streams on Soundcloud, with a pipeline of Gully B productions ready, the future of Gully B is to venture even further into the realms of Dancehall, Reggae and Soca music.
With a 2021 nomination for ‘Best DJ’ in the Caribbean Afro Music Awards, as well as DJ bookings already confirmed in Europe, Notting Hill Carnival and Strawberries & Creem Festival, it won’t be long till you’ll be seeing Gully B LIVE!
We’ve been friends with Gully B for a few years now, he’s curated playlists for us on Spotify in the past and did a mix way back in 2016 for our old mix of the day series and we’ve covered events that he’s performed at. Most recently he gave us his alternative guide to Christmas Playlist which was flipping brilliant! We’re really excited to bring him onto our Renegade Riddims series with his latest mix. Trust me when I tell you that he called in an insane amount of favours to create this. It has a load of dubs which have been specially created for this mix! He used 4 decks, 3 for mixing and double drops and another to run the dubplate acapellas over!! Prepare yourself for some absolute fire!!
