Renegade Riddims: Ed Priest

Share

Ed Priest is a name some of you will be familiar with, having immersed himself into the scene from a young age. For those not aware of him, Ed is a Drum & Bass and Jungle DJ who has performed for a host of brands including Hospitality, Critical Music, Outlook, RUN, Jungle Jam, Dubplate Style, Dazed, Rinse FM, Coded, Undivide and many more.

Currently residing in London, but with strong ties to Bristol, Ed Priest is co-founder and resident DJ of Dazed Promotions events in Bristol and also Eloisa Records resident. He has supported an array of the scene’s leading tastemakers including Andy C, High Contrast, Jaguar Skills, Danny Byrd, DJ Hype, Total Science, Black Sun Empire, Randall, Bryan Gee and too many more to mention!

Ed Priest has previously had radio shows on Rinse FM as Hospital Records‘ selector, SubtleFM and Rough Tempo. He’s played main room sets at E1, Studio 338, Motion, Lakota, Black Swan, Blue Mountain, Malaysia (VT) and many more in the UK. Further afield he has DJ’d in Wales, France, Holland, Hungary and Croatia at Hospitality on the Beach and Barbarellas open air club.

As well as all this, Ed has A&R’d for Inperspective and was the Kings Of The Rollers go to support DJ for their boat parties and London shows. He has written articles for KMag, UKF and Clashmouth over the years and is currently working in PR for Listen Up. He is also currently working on some other top-secret projects, which are all very mysterious (we will tell all when we find out more)!

This wicked young DJ has committed himself to the music industry and has big plans and high hopes for the future. And we fully believe he will achieve every goal he sets. He is incredibly hard-working and really knows his stuff. He attacks his dreams with everything he has and has gotten to know many key people in the scene. By doing this he has laid really solid foundations for himself, not only as a DJ but as an integral member of the scene.

We’ve worked alongside Ed for a few years now and have seen his progression close hand. We’re really thrilled to be bringing him into the Renegade Riddims series. This mix is an hour of full on bangers, shoe throwers and dancefloor weapons. Ed has expertly curated and blended all this together for our listening pleasure.
